MAPI32.DLL is corrupt or the wrong version.

Posted: 08-07-2003, 09:36 PM
Just upgraded to Windows XP Home Edition and re-installed Office 97, then my
Office 2000 upgrade. I seem to have everything functional except Outlook.
When I try to launch Outlook I get this message: "Cannot start Microsoft
Outlook. MAPI32.DLL is corrupt or the wrong version. This could have been
caused by installing other messaging system. Please install Outlook". I
don't really want to upgrade to Office XP right away. Is there a way to
solve this and allow me to use Outlook or must I stick to Outlook Express?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out....Ben (Kensington, PEI,
Canada)

OL97: The Octal Was Not Found in Mapi32.dll

I did a quick search of the KB and came up with this. Don't know if it is
relevant to you.
