I have 7 xp machines(dell)...one holds the net share
folder to a application to be run on all machines...i map
each machine to the net share folder.....when I turn off
any machine a turn it back on the mapping is not
connected ...the mapped drive has a red x on it..I know if
I click the mapping it'll reconnect...but other users
won't know to do this...why won't the drive re connect
when I turn the machines on..I checked re connect at
logon...whats going on????

I'm running a peer-to-peer network ( 7 xp pro pc's) I
installed Mavis 15...the lead pc has the net work
files...all pc's are mapped...when I turn the client pc's
off..they loose the mapping..I checked reconnect at logon
but I still have to click the red x for them to
connect...how do I resolve this issue....I want them to re
connect when ever I turn the client pc on

Just talked to a tech support guy for this little known software
that I'm trying to network. He recommended that I Map a
network drive on my XP professional to a "T" drive, on that
same xp. So I did, and it worked on that same xp. I went
over the network to a windows 98 computer, and tried to locate
that "T" drive, or map it or something. Is there a reason I can't
access that "T" drive on the XP. What am I missing.
