Perhaps someone can shed some light on this subject. I have searched high and low and still cannot figure out for the life of me why this has suddenly become an issue.
When using Adobe Illustrator CS, I am tryingto take an .AI file and save it as a .PDF. The finished size is set at 8.5" x 11" (letter) even though there is some art outside of the Document set-up boundaries. In Illustrator 10, this extra information was ignored and the .PDF created was only letter sized. In CS however, it decides to include this information, thus making the page larger than letter size. Can anyone explain the logic in this? Seems to me that this version has taken a lot of steps backwards, making what was once simple tasks.. a huge undertaking.
Just as an FYI, I did check to make sure that all settings had margins set to 0 and that the shrink/enlarge to page option was not selected. I also have all the current upgrades. Is this a flaw (1 of many it seems) in CS and if so, is there a patch for it?
- If I had any hair left, I would be pulling it out by now.
