Maximized IE Window Problem

Hey all. This just all of a sudden started happening.
First off my sound card came with software and it
installes a Creative Taskbar at the top of my screen. I
usually auto-hide it and I have no problems with
anything. But just now when I open internet explorer and
I maxamize my window it sits down from the top of the
page as if I had the Taskbar out and it was taking up
space. But it not. And if I 'Restore' the window it moves
up to the top of the screen with no problems (but i like
to have it maxed). I even tried closing the taskbar but
Im still getting this problem. I even rebooted but it did
nothing. Please help :\
