Mentioning what tv-card you have might help.

My old Hauppauge WinTV card got (apparently working) drivers from Windows
Updatem but it still doesn't work. Not many cards do.

Out of three three twin-tuner DVB-T cards you can get (Terratec, Hauppauge
and Black Gold) only the Black Gold has already got working Vista drivers,
so I have just got one. It's also got twin analogue tuners, so it's a
twin-tuner *and* hybrid.

Hi Guys
Just for information and any others that may
come this way - DVico has released a USB driver for RC2.
I use a DVico USB card for PAL Digital TV in Australia
where we borrowed the PAL system from Germany.
Best colour TV system in the world.
see http://www.fusionhdtv.co.kr/eng
Best of luck with your systems.

PAL is NOT the best in the world.
ATSC in the US is THE BEST -- digital, 1920 x 1080 progressive scan high definition, Dolby digital
5.1 sound, NO "legal" colors, multiple channel capability, multiple audio channels, etc., etc., etc.

PAL is better than NTSC.

In Europe and Australia we already have digital DVB-T and now are starting
to move to HD DVB-T. The US seems to be going straight from NTSC to HD
ATSC. I see no digital tv-tuner cards available in the US.

If you read on the net you'll see that there are quite a few things in the
DVB-T specification that makes it superior to the slow to be adopted ATSC,
but there will always be a difference of opinion.

If you like 24fps

Check out ATI and the tiny USB tuner from Pinnacle Systems among many others

Slow? Come to an electronics store and see that 85 to 90% of new TVs are ATSC, and the prices have
dropped significantly.

DCR - ATSC is great, if you like ORANGE!
Australia went from black & white to PAL
in one foul swoop. We are now on PAL 2D
SD & HD digital (no orange) DVB-T2. And we can
also watch American (USA) TV as well on the same
set. All those wonderful stats that you quoted,
"digital 1920 x 1080 etc" are standard with PAL.
'without the orange!'
I sure hope ATSC goes better than NTSC.

What the hell are you talking about?
What orange?
Certainly not on either of my two HDs (one plasma and one LCD)
I can assure you there is absolutely NO ORANGE!
And living in Australia, how would you imagine this?
