media center stopped working in build 5384

I had a major problem when my media center stopped working it wouldn't let
me play recorded tv or live tv I kept getting a decoder error

I resolved this problem by downloading the free 30 trial of Nvidia pure
video platinum
I installed it in compatibility mode for Xp sp2 as administrator
The installation went fine without any errors at all and media center works
again
