media player does't recognize blank disc

Hi everyone hope someone out there can help me. I just updated to Mdeia
player 11 and when I go to burn I keep getting asked to inset a blank disk. I
have tried inserting different blank cd's and the media player keeps asking
me to insert a new blank. Anyone have any suggestions???--
