media player problem

hi,

I've started getting this problem on windows media player where the sound
slows down. As soon as I open up a mp3 it starts playing at normal speed
then after a few seconds you can hear it slow down.

It's only just started doing this and I know its not the audio files, I;ve
also got the latest version of media player and am up to date with windows
updates etc.
Tried re-installing media player but it's still there.

Anyone else ever had this?
