Media Player won't play videos, gives message: This program requir

Posted: 11-29-2007, 04:59 AM
When I try to play a video, Media Player opens and an error message pops up
saying "This program requires advrcntr2.dll, which was not found on this
system."
The error message says Nero in the upper left corner. I have removed Nero
from my system. I don't know why Media Player would require this. It just
started happening for some reason. I am very frustrated.

I uninstalled Media Player 11 and was rolled back to the previous version of
Media Player but still the message pops up.
I have downloaded this .dll file from the internet but need to know where to
install it-what folder and program do I install it in?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
