Memory Access violation

Posted: 10-05-2003, 02:41 AM
When I start the computer I get the message

Memory Access violation in module kernel32 at
5526:66181621

and a different number each time.

How do I fix this, is it serious?

THanks

Mary

Check your system with an up to date antivirus program.

If you think you have a virus and you think your AV
program may be affected, Norton provides an online scan
here:

http://security.symantec.com/default.asp?
productid=symhome&langid=ie&venid=sym

http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

http://www.avp.ru/remoteviruschk.html

http://www3.ca.com/virusinfo/virusscan.aspx

Should check for spyware too. A quick online check for adware, spyware,
hijackers and other nasties:
http://www.aumha.org/a/noads.htm

Also there are links on the page leading to doxdesk.com, a site well-known
for documenting various parasites.

Another good resource site: http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/
