Memory requirement for Vista

It depends on what you intend to do with the laptop, of course. You can run
any Vista PC with 512mb of memory but it probably won't be a very impressive
experience. I recommend 1gb as a working minimum for light to medium use
and 2gb to 3gb for most ordinary uses.

Hi,

While you can run with less, I wouldn't use under a full 1GB and preferably
2 for optimal performance for most software. If you plan on using any
autocad or video editing programs, I would consider using even more.

I have 1GB of memory on both my desktop and my laptop both of them are
running Vista Home Premium and they both run fine. I do have 2GB of Ready
Boost memory on both systems and my performance improved a lot when I added
it.

Ive tried to find out this matter at all kind of places, and have concluded
that
the speed should be as fast as possible (more then 20MB/20MB per second),
and the size should be at least the size of your RAM.
