Try using a longer cord or a greater distance from the laptop. You are
getting feedback from either the laptop cooling fan or the disk drive motor.
Open Volume Control and slide the slider on the Mic Control down to the
bottom and gradually slide it up to where the "fuzz" starts, then lower it
again just enough to eliminate the hummmmm. Let us know if it works.
