Microsoft Broadband Networking Wireless Desktop Kit

Hi, does anyone have any experience with this kit? I have
an ADSL modem that connects to my pc via USB. The specs
I've seen for the kit say the modem must use ethernet to
connect to the base station. Can I not just connect the
modem to the pc using USB and then the base station to the
PC using an ethernet cable?

Also, does anyone know of availability directly in the UK,
or does it have to be shipped from the US. Have looked
around but can't find anything.
