Microsoft Office 2007 Problem Installing

Posted: 11-05-2006, 05:43 AM
I have installed vista RC1 as a clean install and now find out that I can not
install Office 2007 Beta 2 thus I am not able to install B2TR. Any
suggestions would be appreciated. I really don't want to start over and
install Vista Beta 2 then Office Beta 2 then B2TR then update to Vista RC1.
What a time consumer that would be.
Thanks,

What error messages are you getting when you try to install Office 2007?

Jane, not plain 64 bit enabled :-)
Batteries not included. Braincell on vacation ;-)

Gosh...you are fast at responding this late at night! Thanks.
The installation freezes up. I have the beta 2 on dvd and it loads fine on
my other hard drive that has Windows XP SP2 installed on it.

Hi David :-)

What is the exact wording of the error messages you are getting when you try
to install the 2007 Beta 2? There are several things that can cause this
problem and often the error message can provide a good clue of what the
cause is. Be sure to include all numbers as well.

Hope this helps.

A very fine Hello to those of you who tried to help me with my installation
problem.
Now I must admit that it was operator error. I somehow grabbed the DVD with
Microsoft 2007 BETA 1 instead of Beta 2. Wow do I feel stupid. I have now
located the DVD with Beta 2 on it and have successfully installed the Office
Suite. Thank you again for attempting to help me with this "operator error".
I think that Microsoft should come up with an error message that says " Hey
dummy, you have the wrong disk in the drive" or just plain "Operator Error"
