Microsoft Sidewinder Precision Pro joystick

I run windows XP pro and i have a soundblaster pci
soundcard installed and acording to all the system checks
the game port is there and working. yet for some reason it
cant find my joystick! anyone has any ideas please email
me with the solution

What happens when you go to the Control Panel, click on Game Controllers and
use the AutoDetect feature?
