Microsoft Street & Trips & NTVDM CPU Illegal Operation - HELP!

Posted: 01-21-2009, 03:39 AM

Hello. I need your help. I have Windows Vista Ultimate with SP
installed on my computer. One of the programs I have installed i
Microsoft Streets & Maps 2007. I have no problems installing this cor
part of the software. At the conclusion of the core part of the softwar
being successfully installed, I get the part that I elect to select th
option "Install Windows Live Local for Outlook after Streets & Trips i
finished." When I do and proceed, I immediately get a message that i
titled, "16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem". It states
"C:\Users\TROY\AppData\Local\Temp\LEO_SE~1.EXE The NTVDM CPU ha
encountered an illegal operation. CS:11ee IP:63 74 0d 0a 20 Choos
'Close' to terminate the application." What is going on? I need to ge
this part of the software installed

Now, I have installed Streets & Trips as a fresh install in the past o
same previously installed operating system electing this option t
install Windows Live Local for Outlook. I received no issues installin
the Windows Live Local option at that time. This time I did. I have rea
online that Windows Vista does not support 16bit programs from a fe
sources. Yet, some users say that Vista does support them. Well, if
have been able to install the optional program before without an
issues, than I know Vista can.

I need your help! Please help me! Please provide me the steps in detai
on how to overcome this issue so I can successfully install the entir
software again. Thank you!!

Vista 64 doesn't support 16-bit apps, but 32 does. Also, your error
indicates that the executable file mentioned is physically corrupt.
