I started getting that error I while ago, maybe a few weeks, but now happens
more frequently. I don't have to even be doing anything in particular, just
in a browser or something and get the error message pop-up from Visual C++
that Explorer.exe failed.

I'm running Vista Home Premium with all the latest updates. I suppose I
should suspect a recent update and uninstall them all, though that's kind of
dangerous too.
