was far cheaper - MAXBALL) that is optical and wireless and rechargable. The
good thing about it is that it goes to sleep after some minuits of
inactivity, but the only way to wake it is by pressing one of the buttons.
The microsoft one avoids this by having the light blink from time to time
after a while so that it can detect a movement, and the drainage will be
less.
But the blinking does drain some power and if you have it in a pocket or a
bag, the optical detector is working at full capacity because the movment of
the pocket or bag cloth stimulates the mouse.

For the ones reading technical replies, I would kindly request them to give
me their feedback with another post (in the same thread of course), so I
will know if my advice helped them or not.
