Microsoft Works Portfolio

When I add Portfolio icon to Desktop; the whole screen
image starts jumping up and down?? I'm running a Windows
XP Home; and have not added any new programs in the past
2 months and this has started in the past 2 weeks or
so. Could a Microsoft Update have coused this and how
do I find out which one it could have been ???

Help!!! How do I get rid of this annoying icon on my
desktop. I have no idea how I got it. I don't use it. I
have no idea what it is for and if I go near it it opens
and is hard to close. I just want it gone. Would
appreciate hearing from someone who can help.

There's probably a setting in the Works menus that controls the appearance
of the portfolio item. Open the main Works window and look around in the
Options and Preference menus. There may be some information in Works Help
file about turning it off/on too.

With Microsoft Works Suite 2004 (Works 7)

With the Works Portfolio open, click [X].
When asked if you want the Portfolio to start every time Windows starts,
click NO.
