Yes I did install by XP. My thought is that even if one installs from XP, if
the XP installation is NOT on on partition C:\ and if the C:\ partition has
not been assigned, Vista will end up on C:\. To prevent this, I made sure
that C:\ was not assigned when I installed Vista from XP (which was on the
N:\ "drive."

This is unrelated. Do you know why I cannot start a new thread? The reply
button works fine, opening this window I am writing in. But when I click on
the New button to the left of it, nothing happens.
