Midi background music won't play.

Posted: 09-12-2003, 08:31 PM
I am running Windows XP on an HP753N computer using
internet Explorer 6 Browser. I have a website that I have
midi background music playing. It has been working fine
until just recently. Now it will not play on my machine,
but all my friends still get the background music. I can
still get music on all other sites and my machine plays
the midis from my files for my web site. If I have deleted
anything it was unintentional and I am at a loss for what
to look for. Any help will be appreciated. Vj

Jake, I followed your instructions. My default player said
it was "Microsoft GS wavetable SW synth with no other
options to choose from. I pressed my down key, Apply, OK.
I still have no midi playing on any of my sites. Midis do
play on all other sites such as blue mountain greeting
cards etc.

>Then the sound format is not compatible with your sound
card. You may have to go to the website of your sound
card and download the latest WinXP drivers.
