Minimize to system tray??

Posted: 10-24-2003, 04:12 PM
How do I get Windows Messenger 5.0 to minimize to the
system tray? The minimize button does just that -
minimizes it to the taskbar. The close X in the corner
just kills the program all together, but from what I
understand, the X should actually send it to the system
tray. Please help!

Thanks,
-Aaron

Greetings Aaron,

To have this functionality, double-click on the Windows Messenger icon in the notification
area/system tray (the area by the clock), click the Tools menu, then Options, then
Preferences tab, check 'Allow Windows Messenger to run in the background' and click OK.
