missing security tab on file properties

My C: drive format is NTFS. However, there is no security
tab on folders or files property pages. Does anyone have
an idea how that could have happened and how to get it
back?

Hi Don,

Do you have WindowsXP Professional or Home Edition?

If you are running WinXP Pro then you have to disable Simplified Sharing

For WinXP Home Edition you have to be in Safe Mode
