Missing sound icon

The Icon for sound goes missing on my taskbar. I have to locate it in the
system and restore it. Any Idea why?

I also have to restore it every now and then. No clue...

The disappearance of the sound icon is usually caused by improper
shutting down. After you click the Start, then Shutdown button, wait
for Windows to completely shutdown and then wait another 5 to 10 seconds
to properly Save the Settings before cutting the power. That should solve
the situation.
