mmc.exe error, cannot run.

thank you for your help, but mmc.exe still doesn't work, i did what you said
and here is what sfc says : "SFC found damaged files but didn't succed to fix
all of them, details can be found in the log CBS.log"

The log is (so) long, and i can't understand it.

Do you think reinstall vista might fix this issue ? (if so will i keep all
the things i've done on this installation ?)

Just solved it, i replaced mmc.exe with one (not corrupted) from another
vista computer.
