I have just installed Vista RC2 (completely clean install, blank partition).

I have been unable to get Mobile Center Beta 3 to work. Initially I got the
error message

"A network error occured while attempting to read from the file:
c:\users\<name>\downloads\drvupdate-x86.msi"

I re downloaded the file and tried again and it didn't produce any errors
but instead didn't seem to do anything other than put it into the unistall
programs list.

There don't appear to be any shortcuts to it in the start menu and I've
looked under Hardware and Sounds in the Control Panel and it doesn't appear
to be there either.

I've tried uninstalling it and then reinstalling but get exactly the same
result.

Any suggestions???

Jsut installed it on RC2.. you may ned to reboot box, and then try
synching with usb first, if you have a cradle, try it first.

What mobile device are you using?
