Posted: 11-24-2003, 07:54 PM
I have an Dial up Modem and when I try to querry the Modem
thro Device Manager it says that the Port is already in
use by another application how can I find which
application it is so I can disable it.
I also have a Broadband Modem as well could that be the
problem.

try the modem in a different slot - It may be conflicting with another
device IRQ.

Depending on the modem - there may be a jumper on the modem to allow setting
to com 3. Have you put the modem in a different slot ?
