(smartphone) and the old ActiveSync is not supported by VISTA. Does anybody
know a workaround to synchronize the MotoQ with OUTLOOK?

You need to download and install Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC)
It's still in Beta 3 thoug. That's why it's not included in RTM
