Hey. Just to give a profile on my machine:
800MHz Celeron, 256 MB RAM, 30GB and 120GB hard drives,
PCI Networking, geforce2 mx, and TV tuner cards.
My issue is with my mouse. Periodically, the mouse will
not behave. It jumps around the screen as if the
processor was busy when I inputed a move to X location.
The system lags about half a second and then jerks the
cursor to the requested location. The mouse is connected
via USB to PS2 adapter to PS2 port. This occurs even when
in other applications. Actually, I was in mid-game of
Unreal Tournament, and it botched my shot over my
opponents shoulder.
The initial thought is to the surface on which I am using
an optical mouse, but I assure you, that is not the case.
This is a definate STALL somewhere in the system.
Feel free to respond to me directly.
