How can I convert .mov files to be able to see them with Windows Media

MOV files are Quick Time files. You can convert them to AVI files using the
Pro version of QuickTime (www.quicktime.com), yes you must buy it, or
PapaJohn's website has a few links to other means of conversion.

Well there is a way to use them without conversion too.
First install Quicktime Alternative. This will install directs show codec
for this format. Media Player classic which comes with it, can be your
default player for .mov files.
Now when things are playing fine, just rename the "file.mov" to
"file.mov.avi" and drag in Movie maker to edit.

Thanks for all the help. Going to give them both a try.
