Move Activation Code

I have activated a desktop with a valid Vista Ultimate code. I will be
erasing and returning this machine to a valid XP licence. However I have
already activated my ultimate code.

Is there a way to "de-activate" this machine or code so that I can use it on
another machine? I do not want 2 copies, I just want to move my valid code
from one physical machine to another after erasing the original.

Not that I know of, but if the new machine fails to activate, a call to
MS to activate (it gives you the telephone #) and explaination is all
that should be needed. It happened a lot to me with WinXP.
