Move (Import) Documents from Windows 3.1 To XP-Home

Posted: 12-30-2003, 04:12 PM
I have an old Compq computer running Windows 3.1 and
would like to move some documents and files created with
Word version 6.0 and Excel version 5.0 to a newer GateWay
running Windows XP-Home. I do not have a CD-ROM drive on
the old computer.

Copy the documents to a floppy disk, then copy the files
to the Windows XP computer. Make sure to install a
Microsoft Office program first, such as Office 97 or newer.

If you don't have a floppy on your new machine, email them to your self.
