Moving "Documents and Settings" to Drive D

I assume you have right-clicked on the My Documents folder
on the desktop, gone to Properties and then hit the Move
button. If that doesn't work, try the same thing from SAFE
mode . . .

Good Luck !

to have only system and application files located on my C
drive. I want to have the "Documents and Settings"
folder as well as appication docuemnts to reside on the
new drive D. The system will not let me move
the "Documents and Settings" folder because of one or more
of the files are being used. I know this can be done at
installation but I really don't want to reload XP. Any
suggestions on how I can move the folder over. I tried
the copy function and it created file prefixed with "copy
of " on the D drive.
