MP3 Player in Windows Explorer gone

Posted: 10-25-2003, 06:35 PM
I upgraded from Win 2000 to Win XP Pro and found out that
in my Windows Explorer in Win2000 I can play mp3 via the
media player built-in windows explorer and in XP in order
to play mp3 you have to open windows media player - which
is time costing and resource inefficient. How do I listen
to mp3s without running the windows media player?

Make WMP your default player and it will open
automatically when you insert a music CD.
Start/My Computer/rightclick your CD player (D drive?)
and click properties and Autoplay tab. Select WMP, click
Apply and OK.
