MS Natural Keyboard Pro USB refresh problem

Posted: 01-21-2004, 04:33 AM
I am having a problem with my Natural Keyboard Pro. I
have the most recent drivers and they are installed
correctly. My keyboard is attached as a USB device and
constantly refreshes in Windows XP Pro as if I were to be
constantly unplugging and re-plugging the keyboard into
my USB port (right down to the little connected and
disconnected sound that windows makes). The cable
connection is secure and tight. Any idea what could
cause this behavior? Solutions?

(I cannot find my USB keyboard to PS/2 adaptor and my USB
mouse to PS/2 mouse adaptor doesn't work... damn.)

Help?

I have the same keyboard.

Did you not plug the USB connector into the USB port and the PS2 connector
into the PS2 plug? If not, why not?

My hunch there is a hardware fault with the keyboard.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

RMS,

Thanks for the help. I cannot find my PS/2 adaptor or else that is
what I'd use. I think that the keyboard is broken as well. Sucks.

I don't want to buy a new keyboard....

Josh.

I still don't get this 2 connector thing.. The keyboard only has one
connector and an adaptor. So it's either USB or PS/2. Not both at
the same time.

Any other ideas? If it was broken I don't understand why it works
most of the time and only cycles like it's being connected and
disconnected sometimes... strange?

Josh.
