| MS Newsgroups Beta Suggestion. I would like the MS Help and Support Newsgroups to be formatted to behave more like "normal" forums, AumHa forum is pretty good. Page Layout. Page layout while not ideal, is acceptible considering the volume of posts. Maybe standard "forum" layout could be tryed. Pinned Answers. Pinned canned solutions to commonly asked questions would be good. MS do have FAQ pages elsewhere, but the newsgroups could do similar if the same or simlar problems or questions are being asked all the time. More Specific Threads. The present thread headings on the left are generally ok but maybe could be made more specific, even a single word thread heading could be tryed. Search the Newsgroup. A more refined search capability would be handy. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. To vote for this suggestion, click the "I Agree" button in the message pane. If you do not see the button, follow this link to open the suggestion in the Microsoft Web-based Newsreader and then click "I Agree" in the message pane. http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/com....vista.general | Guest

| Nah, forum style is just not gonna happen. As for search, if you using Windows Mail, you should be happy with the new Word Wheel feature which meakes it a breeze to filter post and find what you are looking for. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta "Grumpy" <Grumpy@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:994820D3-DBEA-474A-BA8C-BFC18C4E3BA7@microsoft.com... | It's usenet... get used to it. Get a real newsreader. Most tech people can't see the "I agree" button, and don't really care. "Grumpy" <Grumpy@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:994820D3-DBEA-474A-BA8C-BFC18C4E3BA7@microsoft.com... Quote:

| Why don't you just use Windows Mail as your news group reader. Get away from the clunky CDO (web) interface style of reading and responding to posts. -- Regards, Richard Urban Microsoft MVP Windows Shell/User (For email, remove the obvious from my address) Quote from George Ankner: If you knew as much as you think you know, You would realize that you don't know what you thought you knew! | Well, Microsoft TechNet has a pretty complete set of Vista forums that work much like Aumha. See here: http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/...=204&SiteID=17 That said, if you get a copy of the best available News reader, Agent or Free Agent from http://www.forteinc.com , and learn how to use it, you'll find that you can process information about TEN times faster than you can by going the Web forum route. | Usenet has been around for years and years. It isn't going to change anytime soon. Microsoft doesn't own or run usenet, they just have their own usenet server. "Grumpy" <Grumpy@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:994820D3-DBEA-474A-BA8C-BFC18C4E3BA7@microsoft.com... Quote:
