did you manage to get it working?
I bought this Tv card from Komplett in november 03. It looked
fantastic value for money - nice box, lots of bits and features.
However...
It prevented the MB booting at the time (ABIT BX6 2.0). I bought a new
MB and CPU.
New MB purchased (Soltek KAV75 and AMD 1.4ish). At least this boots.
The CD software was completely useless, the remote control buttons
were garbled, it wouldn't record. the list of non working features was
endless.
I downloaded the latest drivers on 15/1/04. Some things are better,
there are some new bugs. I even bought a TV aerial amplifier to see if
it fixed 2) below. I have looked for generic SW but because of the
tuner (MT2050 I believe) I cannot find anythig to work with it.
The main problems now.
a) Cannot save channels and names, rescan is needed every time.
b) It cannot do audio on VCR or cable box antenna - you get a picture
but just clicking sound. Plug the antenna lead into any TV - picture
and sound is good.
c) The software has a collection of bugs in every feature and is
virtually unusable generally.
The system is XP pro on Soltek KAV75 AMD 1.4ish, unknown graphics AGP
1 ish card.
Komplett are useless as help though they have now finally offered a
repair/exchange. (I'd like to know how they intend to go about
repairing the software - but lets not go there.) (Do Komplett ACTUALLY
have a real human being on the end of the phone?)
I am left with the impression that I have bought a card that
technically should be brilliant, but is let down by very flaky SW.
Before I finally send this back to Komplett attached to a large brick
- has anyone had any real joy getting this to work yet? Does anyone
know about expected new SW releases? (MSI are about as forthcoming
with help as Komplett)
