mstsc hangs

Hello,
sometimes when I connect to a remote embedded XP server (with mstsc) the
login hangs at 'loading personal settings'. Stopping the connection and
connecting later on results in the message that connection is not possible.
Does anyone have an idea what the cause could be? Note: it only goes wrong 2
out of 10 times.
