Multimedia Audio Controller problem

I have had no sound output since switching my
motherboard, I was able to download drivers and such and
everything works perfect except the sound. I have tried
bios, intel chipset downloads, everything. In my hardware
device manager under the "Other Devices" tab, I
have "Multimedia Audio Controller" with an exclamation
mark (not working properly). I have tried reinstalling
and MS support for the driver. Whenever i try to play
music i get a "DirectSound Output v2.2.6 error" which
contains "Bad directsound driver. Please install proper
drivers or select another device in configuration.
Error Code: 8878000A" Any help will be appreciated,
