Multiple User Accounts

Posted: 07-23-2003, 12:12 AM
Hi! I am using XP Home and have multiple user accounts
setup on the computer. Using one particular user account
I have customized all sorts of things from folder options
to how the Start menu is setup to shortcuts on the
desktop, etc. Is there any way to transfer these
customizations easily to the other user accounts? Would
copying a user profile somehow help?

Any tips for doing this would be great, and/or pointing me
to a knowlege base article would be cool too.

Many thanks!
Sharon

Go to start, control panel, system, advanced, user
profiles and copy the user. This will work there is a few
other ways but that is a good start for doing it.

Hi Sharon,

For the Advanced Tab: Go to Start/Run and type in:
control userpasswords2

Or:

Add ControlUserPasswords2 To Control Panel (Line 1)

Multiple User accounts

Can I have multiple users that each connect to a
different wireless network - for instance - can I have a
home user account that only connects to my home network
and a work account that only connects to my work
network....I'd rather not have all connections present at
the same time - seems to slow things down.,

Thanks
