Music Clips

Hi-

I am XP user and have a website. I want to create a page having music clips
in it from a CD or files on my hard drive. I have a Sony Vaio Computer with
a multimedia package, also I have Roxio Platinum. In Roxio, I found that
you can apply transitions, however only for the full song. I also have
Windows Media Encoder. I find no where in these applications, how to do
that. I was directed to the Sound Recorder in Windows, however I don't
think this will serve my purpose as it only wants to open WAV files. I
would appreciate that someone could please direct me as ti giw to accomplish
this.
