music folder > music tasks > play all no longer functions

Usually create new folders on my desktop (XP Home)when
editing downloaded mp3 properties. Used to enjoy the Play
All function under Music Tasks but it started to work
intermittently--then not at all. Play All also doesn't
work on folders in My Music.

Have SP1a and recently installed WMP 9 hotfix. Have
checked folder options, customize music folder, and file
associations. Uninstalled unused RealPlayer. Also have
Quicktime but only for videos not mp3s. Mp3s are
associated to open with Windows Media Player.

Any suggestions leading to a cure much appreciated.
