create a file? I have only a small audio record accessory (60secs) that I
can find. I am attempting to take all my stereo analog and run into computer
to rip all my vinyl into this machine and then burn onto cd. Audio is
correctly routed into line in and out for I am controlling stereo volume with
computer. Please forgive my naivity. I am an old relic from the warm fuzzy
pentode days!

Use Audacity to capture audio. Audacity is a free audio editor.
