My drivers are not recognized

Posted: 09-21-2003, 03:23 AM
I need help. My desktop does not recognize my CD drivers
at all. This appeared after discovering 2 viruses
infected my system (blaster & w32 Klez). I used Norton
and I thought it was fine. Then I noticed the drivers
were not appearing on "my computer" windows. I checked
on "add Hardware and I get a message saying: "Windows
cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The
driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39). How could
I fix this problem??? Greatly appreciate your help!!!

Try:

http://www.dougknox.com/xp/scripts_d...cd_dvd_fix.htm

(deletes some inappropriate Registry keys, which may have been created by
Roxio Easy CD Creator).

Good luck.

Bob:

I tried what you suggested 3-4 times with no results. I
even bought an external IOMEGA CDRW to save all data on
CD's but it can't even recognize this new hardware. What
is going on? Any suggestions??
