My music file up and vanished

my husband was moving and deleting songs in my music folder and said he
pressed ctrl and all of a sudden the folder dissapeared and all music gone.
we checked recycle bin not there and i did a .mp3 search nothing only the
songs that weren't placed in my music or itunes folder are here can anyone
help me find my missing music?
