My Music Folder And Windows Media Player 9 Windows Xp

In Music Folders where i keep all my music, i name the
folder, then come back to it later and there all renamed
and in a folder of there own with a picture on it. Also
in Music Media Player, when tag editing it don't want to
stay what you type in for it to stay at after applying it
to each song. For Example: i will add a lyric , then i
will go in to my music folder , and the lyric is not
there. Also when i change the name of the artists or
anything in the tag editor, in music player it don't
change them in my music folders. Please Help!
I'd like to thank you in advance. Any help would be
