Need guide for adding vista computer to existing xp network

laptop to an existing multiple xp computers network, so we can use the same
printer and share files.
Where can I find a step by step guide to see what I'm missing and to try to
do it in an organized fashion.
The XP computers are so easy to hook up that I didn't really have to pay
attention while doing it. I think I downloaded a fix for the xp computer that
holds the printer and shared files but it didn't work.
Here is the xp computer info that contains our printer and shared files that
we all share: Microsoft windows XP home edition version 2002 service pack 2,
eMachines T5026 Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.06GHz, 3.07 GHz, 504 MB of RAM,
Computer description: Diana's Computer, Computer name: Diana, workgroup:
MSHOME. All the xp computers in our family connected this computer with no
problem in a period of a couple of years.
Brand new Vista computer info: 2 users; both will need to access shared
files and print from computer. (direct connection to computer will print but
we want to print wireless like all the other computers do.) Windows Vista
Home Premium copyright 2006 microsoft corporation, Hewlett-Packard HP
Pavilion dv6000 (RP168UA#apa) AMD Turion(tm) 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-56
1.8 GHz processor, 1982 MB RAM, 32-bit operating system. Computer name, full
computer name and description is TEAH-PC, windows is activated,
Thanks for your help in directing me to a step by step guide to connect our
vista computer to our existing multiple xp computers network
