What do you mean by "locked"? Do you mean locked from not activating?
Unfortunately there is no method that will reset the time for that.

Thanks, Yes it locks the program for non activation and you need to re-enter
your password this is very annoying in that I am on the computer every 10
minutes all day long and have to add another step to perform in a very busy
day. If this does not change its back to XP for me as it eats up a lot of
time every day. I am sure other people have the same problem of having other
tasks to do besides the computer.

It sounds like you mean that you have to enter a password to unlock the
computer after the screen saver comes on or the computer goes to sleep.
Here's how to change that.

1) Right click on a blank area of the screen and pick Personalize.
2) Click on Screen Saver
3) Make sure there is no tick in the box that says: On resume, display logon
screen
4) Click on Change power settings
5) Click on Require a password on wakeup.
6) Click on Change settings that are currently unavailable
7) Click on Continue
8) Make sure Don't require a password is selected.
9) Click on Save changes
10) You're done exit out of all the Windows you've opened.

I'm going to make a guess here and say that Stevevista is using a screensaver
set to 10 minutes, and that someone ticked the "On resume, display logon
screen" box on it. Another somewhat less likely possibility is that "Require
a password on wakeup" has been set in the system's power settings and that it
is going into standby or hibernation every 10 minutes.

If it's the screensaver, just uncheck the box. If it's the Power Setting
issue, then tell Windows to NOT require a password at wakeup, or tell the
system to wait longer before going into standby / hibernation.
