Need help installing driver for SyQuest EzFlyer 230 in XP

I need help to install a driver for my SyQuest EzFlyer 230 removable
harddrive. I have downloaded from SyQuest ephdw2k.inf and ephdw2k.sys
which are driver files for Windows 2000 and Windows XP

I am instructed by the readme file that I should just attach this
external harddrive to the parallel port and start up Windows, then the
system will ask for a driver I should just enter these files.

But XP does not find my EzFlyer on the parallel port and never asks
for the drives.

I would appreciate if anyone would inform me how to install this
driver and get XP to recognize my SyQuest EzFlyer 230 drive.
