needs to be fixed READ PLEASE (disk read error has occurred press ctrl-alt-delete to restart) Error THIS IS a SP2 problem

When one formats a RAID 0 array over the 4k cluster size the windows XP SP2
is unbootable the following disc error has occurred press ctrl-alt-delete to
restart.
This will happen after the first part of install so install will never
finish because you can't boot.
Now If you install clean install with 4k clusters (default) it works fine
and chnge it to say 16k cluster it will become unbootable again
change it back to 4k it boots fine.
So SP2 breaks anything over 4k cluster.

We thaught it was a Splipstream problem but other are having same problem
from new RETAIL and OEM SP2 disc's.
Working with any cluster size over 4k you gotta replace the following in
the I386 directory in SP2 which are taken from sp1a then you maust reburn to
CD so you will need the boot files if you want it to boot

1) dmadmin.exe (dmadmin.ex_)
2) spcmdcon.sys (spcmdcon.sy_)
3) setupdd.sys (setupdd.sy_)
4) autochk.exe
5) autoconv.exe (autoconv.ex_)
6) autofmt.exe
7) untfs.dll (untfs.dl_)

All of these files have something to do with the bootstrap being written to
the MBR. Some how SP2 screws it up.

Maybe Microsoft can make a boot disk to fix the bootstap/MBR so you system
becomes bootable
